2023 International Convention of Psychological Science
Strategies to Reduce Our Moral and Political Divides
Here we develop psychological interventions that combat moral and political conflict. The current research, which tests interventions in the United States and Germany, suggests motivating people to think empathetically, to self-disclose, to correct their false beliefs about opponents, and to be intellectually humble, can effectively bridge divides between political adversaries.
