Research exploring the impact of metamotivational knowledge (i.e., people’s beliefs about their own motivation) on goal pursuit has recently grown. Using a great variety of methodological approaches, this symposium brings together three presentations that investigate how metamotivational knowledge influences self-regulation strategies and shapes goal pursuit and achievement.
