Challenging Conventional Assumptions of "Good" and "Bad" through Paradoxical Psychological Processes
Theories can be biased by assumptions about which psychological processes are considered positive or negative. We present multimodal, multidisciplinary research highlighting paradoxical processes with unexpected consequences (e.g., “good” cognitive abilities generating negative outcomes), prompting a discussion about how important phenomena get overlooked due to unexamined theoretical assumptions.
