Autonomic, Neuroendocrine, and Immune Mechanisms Underlying Mental and Physical Health
In this symposium, we aim to elucidate how responses to stressors or excitatory stimuli are impacted by stressful life events (e.g., widowhood, ADRD caregiving), cognitive function, and hormonal variation. Second, we present data on how the magnitude of the cardiovascular, neuroendocrine, and immune response to stressors impacts physical health.
