Advances in Goal Disengagement Research (Part II): Facilitating Processes
We know considerably less about goal disengagement than about goal setting or goal pursuit. Thus, this second part of a double symposium addresses several mechanisms involved in goal disengagement. Four methodologically different studies compare action and inaction crises, goal devaluation, and mental contrasting as facilitating processes of goal disengagement.
