A Trip Down Memory Lane: Examining the Relationship between Attachment Styles and Characteristics of Autobiographical Memory

I examined the relationship between attachment styles (anxiety and avoidance) and characteristics of autobiographical memory of individuals who are in or have previously been in a romantic relationship. Higher anxiety predicted reliving of the experience and heightened emotional intensity. Both attachment anxiety and avoidance predicted trust and faith in partner.
