The Role of Fathers in Children's Emotion Regulation and Compassionate Behaviors

Fathers encourage children risk-taking and exploration. Previous findings show father involvement results in lower behavioral problems, social anxiety, and better regulation for children. Children's compassion involves emotional regulation and social engagement. The Proposal expects to find that paternal involvement, emotional support, and playful interactions relate to children's compassion and self-regulation.
