Making Abstract Predictions of Results (Rather than Drawing Predictions or Passive Studying) Encourages More Accurate Metacognitive Judgments of Later Memory

Abstract
Participants were most confident that they would remember the results of a study if they predicted the results before seeing them, significantly more than drawing a graph of their prediction or passively studying the results. However, there was no difference in actual memory of results between conditions two days later.
