A Meta-Analysis Examining Association between Parental Psychological Control and Problem Behaviors of Youth in Non-Western Contexts

The present meta-analysis examined whether there is an association between parental psychological control and problem behaviors of youth in non-Western contexts. Results from the random effects model showed that psychological control was moderately linked to internalizing and externalizing problems. Further, the association was moderated by several measurement and methodological factors.
