Social Expectations and Norm Violations: A Proposed Study on the Effects of Warmth and Competence on Reactions to Norm Violators and Their Norm Violations.

After learning about a norm violator, consistent with the stereotype-content model, we expect participants to have more negative reactions to members of social groups that are perceived as higher in warmth who violate social expectations and members of social groups perceived as higher in competence who violate ability expectations.
