Dyadic Analysis of Positive and Negative Social Support Behaviors and Depressive Symptoms in Romantic Couples

This study examined the effect of observed positive and negative social support behaviors in couples and its association with each member's depressive symptoms using the Actor Partner Interdependence Model. Results showed that negative behaviors from men during social support were associated with more depressive symptoms in themselves and their partner.
