Abstract
The present study examined whether social support is linked to mental health service utilization among African American adolescents. Boyfriend/girlfriend support increased the likelihood of using services from the school or a general physician/practitioner, while parental support decreased the likelihood of using services from the school or a general physician/practitioner.
