Investigating Intersectional Race and Gender Bias When Assessing Students for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Previous research has shown that biases based on race and gender can influence treatment and resource allocation for ASD. This proposed study seeks to investigate whether these biases lead teachers to overlook symptoms of ASD, or misattribute them, more often for Black girls than other race and gender subgroups.
