Abstract
How do youth with hostile attribution biases (HAB) – the tendency to misinterpret social situations as intentionally harmful to themselves – select responses to peer provocation? Teenagers with greater HAB were more likely to interpret peer provocations as 'mean', and to endorse hostile vocal responses to provocation as 'appropriate'.
