The Relationship between Food Allergies and State and Trait Anxiety

Food allergies affect the health of millions annually; however, scant research has examined their relationship to state/trait anxiety. The results of a pilot study revealed that food allergies are associated with an increase in state anxiety. This proposal seeks to understand whether specific allergy/inflammatory responses are linked to trait anxiety.
