Mindsets Matter for Weight Loss and Engagement in a Digital Behavior-Change Weight Management Program

We explored if beliefs about the changeable nature of weight (i.e., growth mindsets) impact cognitions and behavior in a digital behavior-change weight management program. In line with past work, growth mindsets predicted greater self-efficacy and more program engagement. In a serial mediation model, these processes, in turn, predicted weight-loss success.
