Optimism and Objective Measures of Physical Function

Abstract
Among postmenopausal women, higher optimism was associated with better performance for grip strength and chair stand and with slower rates of decline over 6 years in timed walk and chair stand. Optimism may be leveraged to encourage interventions to slow aging-related declines in physical functioning.
