Abstract

We examined child protective actions in substantiated child neglect incidents involving different neglect types. Children were removed from home more frequently following physical neglect. Parent offenders were removed more frequently following emotional neglect. Results suggest neglect types may require different child protective actions to ensure the safety of child victims.
