How Teachers' Emotions Moderate the Association between Student Race and Teachers' Discipline Practices

Abstract

This study investigates associations between teachers' emotions and their association with their racialized disciplinary practices. 3rd - 5th-grade teachers (N=25) will complete daily diaries for ten days in January 2023, assessing their emotions and discipline practices. Data will be analyzed with multilevel models accounting for students nested in classrooms.
