Abstract
The Behavioral Immune System (BIS) is a psychological anti-pathogen defence system. Risks of overlooking pathogens make it adaptive for the BIS to err towards false alarms, resulting in the misperception of anomalous benign cues. This study explores whether the BIS contributes to negative perceptions of individuals with invisible disabilities.
