Abstract
We compared messages supporting a growth mindset written by teachers, untrained AI, and trained AI. Adolescents perceived untrained AI messages as having less of a growth mindset than human-generated messages (p < .001), but the untrained AI messages were not perceived differently from human messages (p = .191).
