Abstract

Self-efficacy, one's confidence in their ability to complete a goal, was shown to moderate the relationship between threat-bias and pediatric anxiety, as measured with an eye-tracking task of sustained attention to negatively-valenced faces. Along with efforts to reduce threat-bias, self-efficacy may serve as a protective factor against anxiety.
