Traumatic Symptom Reporting and Extreme Responding in Mexico and the United States

People from different cultural backgrounds may demonstrate distinct response styles, potentially skewing measurements and engendering misdiagnoses. We assessed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) scores and extreme response style among a diverse sample of Mexicans and US American respondents. Minority groups in both countries reported higher PTSD scores and more extreme responding.
