Trend Perception of COVID-19: Cross-Cultural Examination of Reliance on Schematic Templates

This longitudinal study investigates how schematic templates (abstract, automatic thinking models) are relied upon when American and Chinese residents remember the past, perceive the present, and imagine the future of COVID-19. We examined the ways in which schematic templates affect the accuracy of representations of the pandemic and drive misconceptions.
