Abstract
In a sample of 113 parent-child dyads, greater parental depression was associated with less supportive and greater nonsupportive emotion socialization strategies in response to children's positive emotions. Greater parental depression was associated with greater disorganized parent-child attachment. Less secure and greater ambivalent and disorganized attachment were related to child depression.
