Abstract
Participants were residents of British Columbia, Canada, and Western Germany experiencing 2021 wildfire and flood respectively. Data was collected immediately after disasters, and one-year later. Results demonstrated that across waves and samples, disaster-associated material-and-psychological change significantly relate to well-being, and flood-affected people more materially and psychologically impacted than wildfire-affected people.
