Nsync Is Better: Synchronously Moving TEAMS Are Perceived As Socially Dominant

Abstract
Human observers use characteristics to judge the social dominance of groups. This research examined if this extended to movement synchrony. More synchronously moving groups were selected as prevailing in a competition and rated higher in social dominance. This indicates that synchrony is used as a social dominance cue.
