Positive Affect and Reflective Thinking Are Associated with Improved Cognitive Performance

Abstract
The current study was designed to investigate the effects of positive affect and reflective thinking on cognitive performance tasks (i.e., Cognitive Reflection Test I & II). Participants asked to justify their answers and those who reported more positive affect performed better on both versions of the cognitive reflection test.
