The Development of a Novel Scale to Assess Intra- and Inter-Personal Emotion Regulation Strategies: The Emotion Regulation Strategy Scale (ERSS)

The current study describes the development of a novel scale – the Emotion Regulation Strategy Scale (ERSS) – that assesses nine specific emotion regulation strategies as they are used in intra-personal and inter-personal contexts. The scale possesses good reliability and relates to existing scales and clinical symptoms in expected ways.
