The Moderating Effects of Parenting Behaviors on the Relationship between Illness Cognition and Resilience in Chronically Ill Young Adults

This study examined the relationship between illness cognition and resilience and whether the strength of that relationship was influenced by parenting behaviors. Preliminary results found that while parental involvement affected the impact of children's helplessness on resilience, parental warmth and autonomy support influenced children's acceptance on resilience.
