Can You Hear Me? Can You See Me? the Role of Visual Contact on Emotional Mimicry

In this poster, we show that the rules applying to the mimicry of emotional facial displays may not necessarily be applicable when visual emotional signals are not present (i.e., mimicry of vocal expressions). Our review suggests that emotional mimicry functionally adapts to whether the interacting partners can see each other.
