Abstract

Affective forecasting is critical for effective decision making, but individuals have demonstrated consistent biased affective forecasts. Research findings on anxiety and affective forecasting are scant and often contradictory. This study examined whether perceived lack of control, a vulnerability underlying the etiology of anxiety, influences affective forecasts in highly anxious individuals.
