Abstract
The present study tested the moderating role of alexithymia in the association between childhood maltreatment and psychopathy, controlling for gender and age in young adults. This findings support our hypothesis and highlight the importance of alexithymia in the treatment and prevention of psychopathy and as a potential treatment target.
