Abstract

Large group differences in threats to psychological needs were found between positive schizotypy (PerMag) and control groups following social exclusion. PerMag emerged as a moderately strong predictor of increased threats. Investigating individual characteristics of PerMag revealed that magical ideation explained a greater percentage of variance in threats than perceptual aberrations.
