Model-Based and Model-Free Decision-Making and Symptom Expression across Illness Stages of Anorexia Nervosa

To understand the compulsive behaviors characteristic of anorexia nervosa (AN), we explore the differences in model-based (goal-directed) and model-free (habit-based) decision-making in acute and weight-restored AN, and their cross-sectional and longitudinal relations with symptoms using computational modeling. Results suggest complex relations between learning parameters and compulsive behaviors in AN.
