Recall of Personal Achievements Affects State Pride and Shame: Exploring the Role of Social Anxiety

Abstract
Recalling personal achievements produced significant increases in pride relative to a more a neutral writing task. Social anxiety did not affect the degree of change in feelings of pride, which suggests that recalling memories of personal achievements may be beneficial to individuals with high levels of anxiety.
