Emotional State As a Contributor to the Positive Valence Acquisition of Social and Non-Social Stimuli

Previous research demonstrates the positive valence acquisition of both low effort, non-social stimuli and high effort, social stimuli. This study investigates the factors contributing to this contrast by examining the role of emotional state on the associated valence of different stimuli within a cognitive conflict task.
