Abstract
Do children consider the role of gender expression (i.e., one's gendered appearance) in reasoning about stereotyped traits and behaviors? This study investigates the role of both gender and gender expression in gender-stereotype attribution. Preliminary results indicate that children ages 7-12 consider both gender and gender expression in their gender-stereotype attribution.
