The Relationship between Child Marriage and Prevalence of Rape across U.S. States

Abstract
Child marriage is an international human rights violation yet is legal and occurs in parts of the United States. We examined the connection between child marriage and rape and found that child marriage rate, but not youngest legal age of child marriage, approached significance as a predictor of rape prevalence.
