Abstract
Contamination is a methodological phenomenon that affects the direction, significance, and magnitude of causal estimates in randomized research. This flash talk applies contamination to observational research, reporting on its prevalence, the degree of bias in causal estimates, and the innovative methods for controlling such bias when researching psychological outcomes.
