Abstract
Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS) has emerged as a highly reliable phenotypic characteristic of environmental sensitivity. The results of the research lead to the proposal of a comprehensive developmental model that explains in a clear and useful way how SPS contributes to the development of psychosocial adaptation early in life.
