Meta-Analysis of Trauma-Related Blame and PTSD Symptoms after Physical Violence

The purpose of this meta-analysis was to examine trauma-related self and other blame as it associates with PTSD symptoms following non-sexual interpersonal traumas. Meta-analysis of 28 samples revealed a moderate relationship between self-blame and PTSD severity, r = .29 [CI .24, .35]. Only one study examined other blame.
