Abstract
Different forms of sexism play a role in explicit and implicit beliefs about who (women or men) is the target of discrimination in society. Benevolent sexism predicted stronger explicit beliefs that women are most discriminated, while hostile sexism predicted weaker implicit and explicit beliefs in women being most discriminated.
