Abstract

We ran 43 meta-analyses on physiological, cognitive, and subjective outcomes to assess non-visual effects of daytime light exposure. We found significant effects for EEG power, accuracy, response time, affect, subjective sleepiness, and tension. We cautiously recommend higher lightintensities and a higher proportion of shortwave light spectrum indoors during daytime.
