Development and Factor Structure of a New Scale to Measure Distracted Driving Countermeasure Strategies Among Young Adult Drivers

Using a mixed method approach, a scale was developed to measure strategies young drivers take to reduce distracted driving behaviors. Two factors emerged, measuring behaviors intended to limit or prevent distractions, and those intended to minimize the distracting effects of non-driving tasks.
