Worries of Social Identity Threat Predicts Worse Mental-Health for Some, but Not All, Students

Abstract
Recent research found that perceived health-related stereotype threats predict higher rates of anxiety and depression symptoms in LGBT individuals. However, limited research extends these results in other marginalized groups. Across three studies (N = 1210), worries of threat predicted negative mental health outcomes for strongly-identified sexual (but not racial) minorities.
