The Effect of Mentoring Relationships on the Acquisition and Utilization of Academic Behaviors

Relationship building is an instrumental function of mentoring; therefore, the quality of the mentoring relationship has been theorized to be the key mechanism of change in mentoring programs. This study analyzed the quality of the mentoring relationships and their effect on mentees acquiring new skills and mentors utilizing coping skills.
