Impact of Affective States on Item Memory and Reality Monitoring

We will examine how happy and sad moods impact item memory (ability to recall past information) and reality monitoring (ability to differentiate between internal and external origins of past information). Based on previous literature, we expect negative moods to yield better item memory and reality monitoring, compared to positive moods.
