Servant Leadership and Leader Burnout: A Conservation of Resources Perspective

Despite construct and theory development, gaps remain in our understanding of servant leadership.  While numerous studies focus on positive outcomes, fewer researchers have focused on negative, leader-level outcomes of servant leadership behavior.  From a conservation of resources theory perspective, we propose relationships between servant leader behavior and leader burnout.
