Abstract
We examined ambivalent sexism as a moderator of the link between (1) nontraditional marital surname choices and (2) negative perceptions of individuals who make these choices. Results indicated that, in an emerging adult sample, those with high sexism viewed both men and women who make nontraditional surname choices more negatively.
